I began quilting as a way to relieve stress and spend more time with my daughter, who wanted to learn how to quilt. What started as a simple way to connect and unwind quickly became something much more meaningful.
I’m a YouTube taught quilter, picking up tips and ideas along the way from generous makers willing to share what they’ve learned. In the beginning, my goal was simply to spend my free time doing something productive instead of sitting in front of the television. But as time passed, I became a bit obsessed, creating new quilts, trying different patterns, and learning new techniques whenever I could.
Quilting has been both fun and deeply rewarding. To me, it truly feels like art. I was never a very good art student growing up, but quilting has given me a way to let my creativity shine. I still spend a great deal of time learning and growing in this craft, always eager to improve and try something new.
Discovering longarm quilting brought a whole new level of enjoyment. There is something incredibly satisfying about finishing a quilt and seeing all the pieces come together in a way that enhances the maker’s vision. Now that I’m retired, I look forward to serving others and helping their creative work shine just as quilting has helped mine.
Four Threads Quilting was created from a love of quilting, craftsmanship, and family.
Each quilt that comes through my longarm is treated with care and respect for the time, creativity, and memories stitched into every piece. My goal is to enhance the quilt maker’s work through thoughtful, balanced quilting that supports the design without overpowering it.
Whether a quilt is made for everyday comfort or as a keepsake to be treasured for generations, I approach every project with patience, attention to detail, and pride in the finished result.
